Driving Directions
We ask that campers not be driven directly into or out of camp. All drop-offs and pickups will take place at the Canoe Lake Portage Store. All Wapomeo Campers: Please have life jacket and paddle easily accessible.

From Toronto & Western Areas
Highway 400 North to Barrie. From Barrie follow Highway 11 North towards Huntsville.
Take Highway 60 East for 33 km to the Algonquin Park entrance.
Continue on Highway 60 after the Algonquin Park West Gate Permit Office until you reach The Portage Store exit (km 14). Wapomeo families please proceed to the boat landing and Ahmek families to the upper parking lot.
On Visitor’s Day
Ahmek: Follow directions until the Portage Store. Drive past the Portage Store and turn right on Arowhon Road. Stay on Arowhon Road for approximately 3 km. Park in the Taylor Statten Camps parking lot and follow the footpath into camp!
Wapomeo: Follow directions to the Portage Store. Meet at the boat landing for your ride to the island!

From Montreal, Ottawa and Eastern Areas
Highway 417 to Highway 17 from Ottawa to Renfrew.
At Renfrew, take Highway 60 West to Algonquin Park East Gate Permit Office and continue for 42 km to the Portage Store for Wapomeo families or Arowhon Road for Ahmek families.
On Visitor’s Day
Ahmek: Follow directions above. Turn right on Arowhon Road follow for 3.2 km. Please park vehicles at our Upper Parking Lot (left side on Arowhon Road) and follow our footpath down to our Business Office.
Wapomeo: Follow directions to the Portage Store. Meet at the boat landing for your ride to the island!
