Our Full Session, July, and July 15 Day campers will be arriving on Canoe Lake in only 49 days. We are so excited to get started, with our many activities, events and canoe trips that we have to look forward to. As we gear up for the summer, we thought you may like a little update about what’s been happening in the Taylor Statten Camps world!
Behind the scenes…
Although registration started in November, the office is happy to report that we are still getting registrations daily, so you can bet that we’ve been busy ensuring baggage tags are out, packing lists are sent and cabins are created. These past few months, we’ve focused on ordering program supplies and tripping gear to make sure you have everything that you need. The TSC team went up to camp last week to visit and took some pictures – see below!
What you can do to prepare…
As camp is soon approaching, here are a few things that you can do in the city to prepare for Canoe Lake and hone your excitement.
- Get your TSC gear – Our online Tuck Shop is open until July 1st, so you have the option to order your camp clothing BEFORE you get to camp! You can get your gear shipped to your house (until June 1st), so you can show off your TSC pride at school and get a chance to label it with your name, which helps to avoid any clothing mix ups. You can also choose to pick it up at camp, which will limit your time standing in line at the tuck shop.
- Get together with camp friends – The only other people that can truly understand your love for camp are those who also go to camp. So get those play dates in and share your love of Camp Ahmek and/or Camp Wapomeo.
- Start packing – It is never too early!
- Set summer goals – What are you hoping to achieve this summer? Whether it is flipping a canoe for the first time or getting to the top of the climbing wall, a summer goal is worth striving for.
- Join the conversation – Follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook. Post camp photos and share how excited you are to get to Canoe Lake. We love seeing these posts and who knows, maybe you’ll be featured on our pages so don’t forget to tag us!
